WOMEN’S PADDLE-FIT ~DROP-IN ~ 6 PM CLASS

Northwest SUP & Fitness is hosting another season of Women’s Paddle-Fit!! Class will be held every Wednesday at 6pm at Horseshoe Lake in Woodland WA. Our season will run for 12 weeks starting June 5th ending on August 28th.  Class always begins with SUP 101 for newcomers which includes; paddle adjustment, how to get on the board at launch, transition to standing, paddle stroke technique & turning, and of course how to remount if you take a splash! Experienced Paddle Babes skip the DEMO, grab their gear and enjoy the water before class begins. Once we are all on the water, the group will get a few minutes to free paddle & get comfortable while making our way out to the class location across the lake before we get down to business! Horseshoe Lake has an extremely high wind rating most days, creating the super fun fast paced cardio portion of the workout! Most exercises will incorporate the paddle as we will need to “reset” paddling back to start position while working through the exercise program. Alternating between strength/balance and fast paddles into the direction of the wind keeps the workout moving and your heart rate up! Exercise routine will vary week to week, and modification is presented throughout, enabling everyone to progress at their own pace. Classes run about an hour long, give or take a few based-on weather conditions & wind rating that day. The BEST part, Northwest SUP & Fitness will be providing the high-quality paddle board and all safety equipment required so all you gotta do is show up, ready to grow & learn, and of course have fun!! June 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th July 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st August 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

~ There will be no class on Wednesday July 3rd 

We aim to launch on the far end of the park closest to I5 near the skate park, but the shoreline meet up location may change from week to week base on how busy the park is. Just look for the decked out SUP trailer and you will surely find me!

No Equipment needed:

NW SUP will provide the high-quality paddle board and all safety equipment required.

*NOTE: Attendees must be on the provided Red Paddle Co SUP, as we can plan our programming around the performance of these specific high-quality paddle boards boards

Preparation:

SUN PROTECTION, SUN GLASSES & WATER!!!

No special clothing required, but lightweight tighter clothing like exercise wear or swimsuit type material is recommended. Swimsuits can be worn, but may not be as functional, as we will be doing a lot of movement. NO thick or hoodie type pullovers or jackets. Any extra absorbent clothing is not allowed due to safety hazards.

Accountability Policy:

We are true Northwesterners!! NW SUP & Fitness does not cancel classes due to rain, however weather advisory is always followed for extreme weather conditions. If a class is canceled due to weather conditions, refunds will be given, or a future class date may be selected if openings are available.

*Class spot will only locked & guaranteed after ticket purchase. Tickets may be transferable on case to case bases.

*Refunds will not be given If you cancel or miss a class, however participants are always welcome to reach out to Michelle each week to see if a spot has opened up, if the class has not filled she will slide you in!
