This is a FREE event! NW SUP & Fitness has snowshoes & poles available for $35 to rent if you do not have your own (TICKETS FOR RENTAL AVAILABLE SOON!!). Those who have their own gear MUST RSVP! Just click the button at the bottom to RSVP or Get Tickets to register for the snowshoe rental. PLEASE DO NOT RSVP IF YOU ARE RENTING SNOWSHOES & POLES. Please keep in mind that Marble Mountain Snow Park requires a snow pass for each vehicle, the cost for day use is $25 and annual is $50 and are sold at our meet up location Chelatchie Prairie Store. The drive up may be icy and rough, this is a well traveled road so it will most likely be plowed but vehicles with low ground clearance and with out traction tires may have difficulty making it up. June Lake is a 2.5-3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Cougar, Washington that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The hike begins at Marble Mountain Snow Park, so we will hike just under 1 mile to reach the June Lake Trail head. Overall out & back this hike is just over 5 miles. This is such a beautiful destination hike and great for those who have never snowshoed before! It is very moderate trail and the shorter distance makes this hike fun for all hikers no matter the experience level. We will stop to take pics along the way and spend some time at the lake for more pics and lunch. Please be aware there is no predetermined end time for the hike but we anticipate about a 3-4 hour hike out & back with stops and lunch at the lake.

For safety and peace of mind all participants will meet at 8am at Chelatchie Prairie Store so that we can car train up to Marble Mountain Snow Park together. Michelle will handout snowshoes & go over trail prep once we arrive at the park. PLEASE check out the list below for gear requirements. A snow pass is required for all vehicles to park, they are available for purchase at Chelatchie Prairie Store and Cougar Store on the way up.

Recommended Equipment: Sun glasses are extremely helpful and make the hike more enjoyable. Bring your camera or phone, there are lots of photo ops! Extra gloves and socks are recommended just in case. Hydro packs do freeze!! Bring extra water if possible!
